Notre Dame Prep Head Coach Mark Nolan notified players Tuesday that he had been suspended. Parents who attended a meeting with school officials Tuesday night said Nolan will be suspended for the remainder of the season, which ends Friday. The move was announced after parents sent a letter from a high-profile lawfirm Tuesday morning, demanding the ouster of both the head coach and schools president. Nolan and President Jim Gmelich declined to comment. Parents repeated calls for both Gmelich and Nolan to resign at Tuesday night's meetingand doubled-down on demands that the school appeal the postseason ban. The meeting ended without a decision on the appeal, parents said.An appeal must be filed by the end of the day Wednesday, according to the law firm representing the Notre Dame Prep parents.
